Robots on the Horizon is a cross-genre chapbook that includes seven linked pieces of fiction and four linked poems that all take place between the years 2050 and 2055.

After Ethan Briggs loses his beloved goldfish, Pinky, to a technical glitch in the MegaTank 2050, he decides to secretly take the train out of town and bury him. On the train, dead fish in hand, he meets Cassandra, who decides to help him bury his pet and cheers him up by introducing him to the beginning of an underground environmental revolution. Will the group of painters and gardeners be able to conquer the government and their robots, or will they be erased as easily as the trees they are trying to save?
